This project involved the construction of a two-storey post primary school, accommodating 1,000 pupils, linked to a single storey sports facility with six basketball courts in Athenry. Set across a gross area of approximately 10,042 square metres and encompasses several general classrooms, many interlinked classrooms, a selection of specialist rooms, a general-purpose hall, a special needs unit and an ancillary for physical education. Associated site works included an external store, hard play court areas and a sensory garden, as well as a secure hard and soft play area, landscaping and car parking. There was also a covered area for construction studies and all civil works. A state of the art facility to the value of €16.1 million, Presentation College was commissioned by the National Development Finance Agency. Coshla Quarries supplied this project with stone, concrete and blocks.
