Project Description

This commercial project was contracted by JJ Rhatigan and involved the construction of the Western Region Garda Divisional Headquarters in Galway city from 2015 to 2018 using concrete, stone and blocks. Providing An Garda Síochána with a centre of excellence and the city with a contemporary civic building that pays homage to its pivotal corner location on a major entryway to Galway city, it is a vital element of the area’s infrastructure. Consisting of a complex of buildings with a combined area of 11,000 square metres, there are a variety of interconnected two and five storey buildings that facilitate offices, conference halls, workshops, stores, prisoner processing areas and reception. Coshla supplied this project with 13,556 cubic metres of concrete, 31,008 tonne of stone and 56,402 blocks.
