This commercial project involves construction of a multi-storey hotel on a 0.73 acre site in Galway city, commencing in 2018. Commissioned by JJ Rhatigan, the venture requires the use of concrete, stone and blocks. The hotel will consist of 114 bedrooms, a reception area and lounge area, while also being equipped with a dining area and both an indoor and rooftop bar. With a total gross floor area of 5,310 square metres, the design integrates a former railway tunnel that runs below ground level and offers the same design, aesthetic and overall style of its Dublin-based sister hotel.
